About Us

Vinney Green Secure Children’s Home (VGSCH) is situated in South Gloucestershire and accommodates up to 24 young people of all genders, aged between 10 and 18. Young people are typically placed with us if on remand, if sentenced or for welfare reasons.

The Home has been designed to a very high standard and is structured to provide physical containment in an environment which is comfortable and attractive.

Offering young people a safe and caring environment, where they experience high quality care, education, recreational facilities, vocational and life skills training. Your part in the provision will be to inspire troubled and vulnerable children and young people, helping them develop their social skills and to help ensure their safety at all times.

At Vinney Green, no two days are the same. Whether you are supporting young people as a Care Officer or leading an education lesson as an Instructor, you will struggle to find a more rewarding job.

Working as part of a warm and supportive team, you will be able to develop your own skills through our on-site training provision.

Vinney Green is part of South Gloucestershire Council and therefore staff are able to receive all the benefits of working for the Local Authority.
