About Us

We are a dynamic and experienced provider of social care packages, research, and consultancy located in South London. Founded in 2001 and incorporated as a not-for-profit organisation in 2011, Young London Today has an excellent track record of working with the most challenging and vulnerable young people.

The leadership team have been successfully delivering care services to numerous London boroughs for over ten years. During this time, we have developed a reputation for excellence in supporting and engaging marginalised young people. Therefore, we can offer appropriate accommodation and support on a case-by-case basis.

At Young London today we strive daily to provide individually tailored support in an environment that enables vulnerable young people to develop to their full potential within a supportive, caring, and homely environment.

The management of our Supported Accommodation services is underpinned by the requirements of the Supported Accommodation England Regulations 2023, the Children’s Act 1989 and 2004, the Care Standards Act 2000 and related legislation including the Quality Standards 2000.

What it’s like to work for us?

Young London Today provide high-quality support which places the following values at the centre of service provision.

• All young people will have the opportunity to experience a caring, happy, healthy environment in which they feel safe and secure and are able to develop, thrive and fulfil their potential.
• We will develop a culture which values and nurtures each young person as an individual with talents, strengths and capabilities that can develop over time.
• Young people will be supported to shape and mould their plan of support and their wishes and views advocated for and respected.
• All young people will be supported to learn and develop skills for independent adult living.
• We will foster positive relationships, establish boundaries of acceptable behaviour, whilst encouraging strong, trusting, and meaningful bonds between young people and staff in the home based on consistency of support where young people have confidence that the network around them understand their needs and are skilled to work effectively to meet them.
• Our team will practice caring support which is ambitious, nurturing young people’s learning and development and championing their dreams and aspirations for the future.
• All young people will receive high quality services, supporting emotional, mental, and physical health, including repairing earlier damage to self-esteem and encouraging positive relationships.
• Our approach will be outward facing, young person led, working with the wider system of professionals for each young person, and with their families and communities of origin to develop sustainable links for their adult future.
• Leaders and managers will have high expectations of staff as committed members of a team, as decision makers and as active role models for young people. In support of this, we will ensure all staff and managers are engaged in on-going learning about their role and the young people, agencies, and families they work with.
• Our premises are high-quality to ensure we provide each young person with their own space in a safe and secure environment.
