About Us

Prior's Court is a charity based in West Berkshire, dedicated to transforming the lives of young people with complex autism. The charity manages a specialist residential school and young adult provision for young people aged 5-25 with autism and complex needs, as well as providing autism training and research.

Set on a beautiful 50 acre site near Newbury, we employ over 600 people from a diverse range of backgrounds to work directly supporting our young people within our education and residential care settings, and also behind the scenes supporting the charity in various roles such as business support, estates management and housekeeping.

What it’s like to work for us?

We have around 600 employees at Prior’s Court and the work they do every day helps young people with complex autism make life-changing progress.

Many of them work hands-on directly supporting our young people, but we also have a dedicated group of staff members working behind the scenes in various roles to ensure the smooth running of the organisation, from business support roles, to fundraising and estates.

We offer career progression pathways and support our staff from day one with a comprehensive induction, helping them understand autism and become experts in their fields.

We are based on a 50-acre site near Newbury in West Berkshire, providing a beautiful working environment and an ideal space for young people to live, learn, play and thrive.

The type of jobs we recruit for?

No day is the same for an Autism Practitioner - whether you are working with a young person within the school, heading out on a community trip or reading a bed time story, this role enables you to be a crucial role model in a young person’s life.

In other organisations this role might be a called a 'Support Worker', but we train our support team to be highly skilled in caring for young people with complex autism, so our support staff have the title 'Autism Practitioner'.

We're looking for caring, patient, fun people from all backgrounds to join our team. Whether you have experience in a care environment, or don't have experience but have a passion to help transform the lives of young people with complex autism - we'd love to hear from you.
