About Us

Norwood is the only Jewish charity to have the Patronage of Her Majesty The Queen. We provide support to thousands of people and their families every year and our wide-ranging services are delivered in London and the South East.

We have a workforce of almost 2,500, made up of 950 staff and more than 1,500 volunteers.

Our Ravenswood Village site in Crowthorne is made up of thirteen different care homes set in the countryside, along with an activity centre, a hydrotherapy pool and a horse-riding centre.

Our team provide support to individuals with a diverse range of needs, from low level support including supervision/prompting with medication, domestic tasks, shopping right through to full support with all aspects of day to day living which may include supporting someone with their personal care needs (bathing/toileting/dressing), cooking and preparing of meals, accessing their local community.

Some of the people we support have complex needs meaning that some people have difficulty in communicating their needs and may require the use of signs/symbols or pictures to communicate with their support.

Here at Norwood, we look to recruit people who have never worked in Social care previously as well as people who can being a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role of Support Worker, we provide a full induction programme.
