Guardian Homecare is part of the City & County Healthcare Group. The City & County Healthcare Group is one of the UK's largest providers of community-based social and home care services. We are registered to deliver care to adults from 18 upwards, but we predominantly support vulnerable older adults who live in their own homes in the community. Guardian's Lancashire branches have operated in the local area for more than 20 years, and have a vast range of knowledge and experience embedded within the local teams. We truly understand the needs of our service users locally, and we know what it takes to be a good care worker, as well as how challenging, but rewarding, these positions can be. Every day is different, and so helps to ensure that staff are not bored and are constantly stimulated in their working life. We also highly encourage ongoing learning and development, and always happy to signpost staff to further learning in the areas that they are interested in, including various Level 2 certificates in different areas relevant to the sector. There are also opportunities for progression to different roles for those who are interested and willing to work towards it.The type of jobs we recruit for?
We are predominantly recruiting for community-based care workers, to ensure that we are able to provide safe, effective and high quality care to our service users in the local community. Our Care Workers are the face of Guardian Homecare and are the most important cog of our big, caring wheel. While previous experience is always an advantage, it is absolutely not necessary as we are happy to employ new recruits who have not worked in this section previously - with full training, mentoring and support provided from Day 1. We have an ongoing rolling recruitment programme due to the volume of work that we have through the Local Authorities we work with, and we are always being asked to deliver more work and to grow our business; we therefore wish to continue to grow our teams to ensure that this is possible. We are also recruiting for some operational staff, including Care Planners, Care Coordinators and weekend on call coordinators. We are happy to discuss more about these additional positions.Benefits
