We provide safe, compassionate and high quality care to half a million people living or visiting East Sussex. We are one of the largest organisations in East Sussex, the only integrated provider of acute and community care in Sussex. Our extensive services are provided by 7000 + members of staff working from acute hospitals in Hastings and Eastbourne, three community hospitals in Bexhill, Rye and Uckfield, over 100 community sites and in people’s own homes.

The type of jobs we recruit for?

East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is looking to recruit 20 + new to care Healthcare support workers either in an acute setting in Eastbourne DGH/ Conquest Hospital Hastings or in people's own homes in the community.

Healthcare assistants are responsible for providing a range of personalised care for patients in support of and supervised by a registered Nurse.

These vacancies are open to individuals who,

have never worked in Healthcare (in the NHS) but are interested in a change of career
have a genuine desire to work in a healthcare setting
have previous work experience and can demonstrate transferable skills
are able to commit to a full week fast track training programme at the start of their employment
are willing to be allocated to work at any of our Acute and community settings
are able to work flexibly (across a range of shifts) to meet the needs of our services, including days, nights and weekends.
are capable of successfully completing the mandatory Care Certificate training.
