About Us

We’re one of the country’s largest not-for-profit organisations supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, behaviours of distress and those with complex health needs. Driven by our values, we place the people we support and their families at the heart of everything we do. We want every person we support to have a great life, with excellent outcomes. Dimensions provides person-centred support and finds the right housing for adults with learning disabilities and autism, right across the country. Our support ranges from a few hours outreach each week to intensive support for people whose behaviour is shaped by distress. We care for those with complex health needs and support many people with profound and multiple learning disabilities. We involve the people we support and their families in all aspects of their support.

Everything we do is personalised to the individual and our staff are ambitious for each and every person we support. We believe passionately that most people do best in supported living environments.

How we work
Our vision, quite simply, is of ‘Better Lives for More People’ – the people we do and will support, their families and other significant relationships, the wider sector through our sharing of our learning and, critically, our dedicated colleagues who are so committed to proving that life can get better.

Our mission – the part we play in delivering our vision – is to provide high quality personalised support for people with learning disabilities and autism, helping them to be actively engaged with, and contribute to, their communities.

We’re a values-led organisation, which means we expect everybody to demonstrate our five core values:

AMBITION - we seek to help people reach their potential
COURAGE - we are guided by the courage of our convictions to make a difference
INTEGRITY - we ensure that what we do is grounded in what we believe
PARTNERSHIP - we work with others to achieve more for people
RESPECT - we recognise that every person’s unique contribution is valuable

What it’s like to work for us?

At Dimensions, you’ll have a really rewarding role working with a great team of people for a leading support provider. Our colleagues tell us that it’s the chance to make a positive difference in people’s lives. We believe that’s why Dimensions colleagues are more than twice as likely to choose to stay here, compared to staff in other social care organisations.*

We take the health and wellbeing of all our colleagues seriously, and we understand that flexible working plays a part in looking after our colleagues. At Dimensions not only do we offer flexible roles, but we also have opportunities for home based roles for our business support colleagues. Dimensions are proud to be one of the very few social care organisations that are members of the ‘Great Places to Work’ programme.

The type of jobs we recruit for?

The people we support and the people who work with us are at the heart of everything we do. To recruit Support Workers we use a values led recruitment process.
