About Us

Combe Grove is a Centre for Health and Wellbeing providing Metabolic Reset Programmes for clients diagnosed with pre-diabetes, in addition to The Club at Combe Grove which has an active and valued membership. Located in a woodland rich 70-acre Estate, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the UNESCO World Heritage City of Bath, the Estate provides clients with an opportunity to rest, restore and reset in nature.

Combe Grove is part of The Elmhurst Foundation, a charitable Trust working hard to create a field of knowledge in health and wellbeing, to create 90 highly valued apprenticeships and to share capacity and knowledge for the benefit of the local community.

An innovative, dynamic, and friendly business, wrapped within a charitable trust, Combe Grove is highly focused on delivering its charitable objectives. Due to the expansion of the business, there is an exciting opportunity for a Learning and Development Coach Apprentice to join the team.

This dynamic person will have a keen interest in health and wellness, a passion for the natural world and the built environment and be dedicated to helping young people make the most of life’s opportunities. It would also be a great asset to the business if the individual could demonstrate a strong personal commitment to, and achievement in, a discipline which is important to our growing Combe Grove membership including cycling, walking, tennis, swimming or running; or any of the specialist treatments that we offer such as Kinesiology, Reflexology.

As guardians of the Estate, it is our objective to make the most of the beautiful countryside setting we have to best support our clients on their wellness journey through nutrition, activity, and mental reset. With an established kitchen garden at its heart Combe Grove grows most of its food providing wonderful vegetables, fruits and nuts for our nutritionists and talented chefs.

Our commitment to the environment ensures the Estate Team uses permaculture practices including no-dig to help proliferate biodiversity in this extremely special part of the Bath countryside. This helps to conserve its ecological health for future generations. Environmental responsibility is at the heart of all decision making with the aim of reducing Combe Grove’s environmental impact, becoming net-zero ahead of Bath and North East Somerset’s 2030 goal. The Estate has to date been awarded the Silver Green Tourism award and working towards the Gold Green Tourism award.

What it’s like to work for us?

Our Sales Manger Felicity has always enjoyed interacting with people and was often known as the talkative one at school. This prompted her to pursue a career in hospitality where the opportunity to meet people was more than likely. Working in hospitality provides real opportunities to meet some fascinating people with equally fascinating life stories. No day or guest is ever the same. Felicity has 10 years of hospitality experience working a range of areas of Combe Grove, from housekeeping, reception, food and beverage and reservations and events. Felicity recognises that experience across all areas of the business is crucial to provide the level of service where you can ensure clients and members are looked after and enjoy their stay. Soon realising that she was able to share her experiences and continued learning with other members of the Team, during her time at Combe Grove Felicity has mentored many apprentices, watching them develop, succeed and flourish.
