About Us

We are Foster Birmingham, part of Birmingham Children’s Trust, and Birmingham’s Biggest Family!

Birmingham Children's Trust was set up in 2018 to run Children's Services for Birmingham City Council. The Trust is owned by, but independent from, the Council. This means that we are free to act in the best interests of the children that need our services.

Unlike many of the other agencies we are a non-profit organisation, which means every penny of our funding goes towards safeguarding and improving the lives of the most vulnerable children and young people in the city.

What it’s like to work for us?

"When it comes to Birmingham Children’s Trust I can honestly say they have exceeded all our expectations and we genuinely feel supported and respected." - Lisa, Foster Carer

"It can be very daunting for people and Birmingham Children’s Trust make it very clear what support they offer and to make sure that you’re not alone during that." - Mitchell, Foster Carer

"94% of our new Foster Carers have their very first placement within 2 weeks of being approved." - Sandie, Team Manager
