Job Description
Livability Nash College in Bromley is a specialised, independent Further Education college for learners with moderate to profound physical and intellectual disabilities. Livability Nash College provides holistic education through a curriculum individually tailored to each student.
Students may have a range of disabilities or complex medical needs, and our National Autistic Society accreditation attracts a significant number with autism. We encourage students to lead a full social life and get involved in local activities. Supporting young people to develop skills that maximise their independence and choice in adult life is a key part of their education.
Purpose of the job
The primary function of the post is to support students to learn and develop new skills, at all times and during all activities. You will be expected to understand the learning outcome for the students, to contribute to target setting and recording of achievement.
Reporting to a Lecturer this job involves supporting and enabling students to learn, meeting their needs and securing their physical well-being, as well as assisting with teaching and learning activities across the College. To be involved in personal physical care including moving and handling and work to health and safety guidelines, ensuring the provision which is safe and clean.
